Thanks For The Memories

“As we express our gratitude, we must never forget

that the highest appreciation is not to utter words,

but to live by them.”

John F. Kennedy

Now that the 78th Session is finally over, I want to express my gratitude for being able to share with each of you every day through writing: “From Soup to Nuts.”

For me, it was an exercise in self-reflection. For you, I hope it was at least one small window into the way one Nevada lawmaker saw the legislative process and his role in it.

I am exploring other opportunities to keep writing and publishing, and I will periodically update you on “life and politics” in the Silver State, as I see it.

Finally—since I’ve written enough this session to solve just about everyone’s insomnia problems–today I intend to talk (not write) about the Session, at 3:00 PM on the Dan Mason Show on KOH Radio. The call-in number is (775) 852-TALK, in case you want to laud or lambast me–for this week’s vote on Nevada’s historic education budget.

Again, I’m grateful for the chance to have had this daily conversation together, about the Nevada Legislature.

Like JFK said, I also hope I can live by (and own) all the things I’ve written in the past 120 days.

Best…Assemblyman Pat Hickey
